At today’s meeting of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports, a discussion on temporary suspension of payment of student loans was continued, which had started at 29th meeting.

Members of the Committee agreed that the topic was about vulnerable category of society and that the problem must be overcome as soon as possible. Given that the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports has no oversight control on this issue, but, in line with the Law on Financing of Political Parties, oversight and control of the Law is exercised by the State Election Commission, and parliamentary control of the Parliament of Montenegro is exercised through working body competent for issues of economy, finance and budget, the Committee has not achieved consent on a number of proposed conclusions.

The conclusions will be handed in writing, and the Committee will state its opinion on those subsequently.
