At its 53rd meeting held today, the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports considered:
• Proposal for the Law on Cinematography, and
• Proposal for the Law on the Protection of Cyrillic Script.
The Committee unanimously supported the Proposal for the Law on Cinematography which was proposed by the Government of Montenegro.
The Committee submitted two amendments to Proposal for the Law on Cinematography, which were accepted by the representative of the proposer, thus they became an integral part of the Proposal for the Law.
The Committee did not support the Proposal for the Law on the Protection of Cyrillic Script submitted by MPs: Mr Neven Gošović, Mr Aleksandar Damjanović, Mr Radovan Asanović and Mr Novica Stanić.
In addition to the Committee members, the meeting was attended by: Minister of Culture Mr Pavle Goranović, Director General of Directorate for Cultural and Artistic Production Ms Dragica Milić, and MP Mr Neven Gošović, as well as representatives of proposers of the acts. Additionally, the meeting was attended by Mr Slobodan Filipović, Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Mr Mijailo Đurić, Head of Department for Normative and Legal Affairs and Harmonisation of Regulations at the Ministry of Education.
