At today’s 59th meeting, the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports considered the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Higher Education submitted to the Parliament of Montenegro by MPs Mr Srđan Milić and Ms Snežana Jonica. Following the discussion and vote by the Committee members, the Proposal for the Law was not supported by the requested majority.

Additionally, the Committee has established the Proposal for the Law on Supplements to the Law on Higher Education that will be placed under parliamentary procedure.

In addition to the Committee members, the meeting was attended by the representative of the proposer of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Higher Education MP Ms Snežana Jonica and Director General of the Directorate for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education Ms Mubera Kurpejović.
