Members of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Žana Filipović and Ms Ljerka Dragičević are participating in the inter-parliamentary meeting of the FEMM Committee, titled “Preventing violence against women: a challenge for all”, which is being held in Brussels today.
The meeting is organised by the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) of the European Parliament on the occasion of International Women's Day for the purpose of recognising the achieved progress and future challenges, analysing experiences and legislation at the national and regional level.
The agenda envisages the presentation by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), as a result from the world’s biggest-ever survey on violence against women, as well as discussion on strategic actions at European level and ideas for further progress.
