At the meeting of the Gender Equality Committee and the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget held today, following the introductory address of the Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak and the Chairperson of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget Mr Aleksandar Damjanović, they discussed statistics, success and obstacles encountered by women entrepreneurs.
They concluded that a lot had been done in the field of women’s entrepreneurship, and that a lot of work was ahead, one of the key activities being the adoption of Strategy for Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Montenegro.
The meeting, held awaiting the upcoming Cetinje Parliamentary Forum, was attended by the following: member of the Gender Equality Committee Mr Nikola Gegaj, member of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget Mr Mladen Bojanić, representatives of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Gender Task Force (GTF ) of the Regional Centre for Gender Equality, Directorate for Development of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, Union of Employers of Montenegro, Association of Business Women of Montenegro, Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Montenegro, Faculty of Economics, University Donja Gorica, Mediterranean University , OSCE Mission to Montenegro and UNDP Office in Montenegro.
