Meeting of the Gender Equality Committee devoted to presentation of the Opinion on the impact of ratified CoE Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence on legislation in Montenegro, composed by experts of ODIHR from Warszawa, will be held in the Blue Room today, starting at 11:00
The meeting will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and President of the Council for Protection against Discrimination Mr Igor Luksić, Head of EU Delegation to Montenegro Mr Mitja Drobnič, Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro Waldemar Figaj and Minister for Human and Minority Rights Mr Suad Numanović.
Within the presentation of the Opinion on the impact of ratified CoE Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence on legislation in Montenegro, the Draft Law on Compensation of Damages for Victims of Criminal Acts in Montenegro will be also presented, and Head of Legislative Support Unit OEBS/ODIHR Ms Alice Thomas and National Programme Officer for Gender Equality in the OEBS/ODIHR Ms Lana Ackar will speak on that.
