The aim of the publication is to provide a description of the position of women in the population of Roma and Egyptians in terms of domestic violence, qualified on the analysis of activities conducted in three Montenegrin cities: Nikšić, Podgorica and Berane, in order to become acquainted with the current situation in the field of domestic violence and to take appropriate measures on its continued suppression and prevention. The publication was done with the use of two methods (focus groups and data analysis based on absolute numbers) in order to gain insight into the issues that will set the framework for further research and practice.
Initiative for improving the situation of female Roma and Egyptians in political and public life was presented at the round table and it was agreed that the Centre for Roma Initiatives and Women REA Network "FIRST" should designate a representative who will be invited to attend the meetings of the Gender EqualityCommittee.
The round table was organized by the Centre for Roma Initiatives - Nikšić, within the framework of the project "Djelujmo preventivno" as part of a three-year regional project "Active Inclusion and Rights of Roma Women in the Western Balkans", which is supported by CARE International.
