At today’s meeting, the Committee considered amendments (5) to the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Gender Equality, submitted by MPs: Mr Mladen Bojanić, Mr Neven Gošović, Mr Dritan Abazović. Mr Velizar Kaluđerović and Mr Novica Stanić (three amendments) and MP Mr Radosav Nišavić (two amendments), as follows:
- amendment I was not supported by the requested majority of votes;
- amendment II was accepted unanimously;
- amendment III was accepted unanimously;
Amendments II and III were accepted by the representative of the proposer of the law, hence in accordance with Article 150 paragraph 3 of the Rules of Procedure, those have become an integral part of the Proposal for the Law, and the Parliament should not decide on them separately. The Committee considered amendments I and II by MP Mr Radosav Nišavić, and they were not supported by the requested majority.
The meeting was attended by Mr Mersudin Gredić, Secretary of the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights and Ms Biljana Pejovic, Head of the Gender Department in the Ministry for Human Rights and Freedoms.
