On today’s meeting, the Gender Equality Committee considered Proposal for the Law on Budget of Montenegro for 2013, in the part relating to consumer units: Ministry for Human and Minority Rights (Program: Exercising human rights and Program: Improving the position of RAE population); Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (Program: Centers for social work and Program: Social, veteran and disability protection); Ministry of Health and Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro.

Following the discussion, the Committee concluded unanimously that it was necessary to submit amendment to the Proposal for the Law on Budget of Montenegro for 2013, by which the Gender Equality Department would become the program within the consumer unit of the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights. By majority of votes, the Committee supported Proposal for the Law on Budget of Montenegro for 2013.

The Meeting of the Committee was attended by: Ms. Biljana Šćekić, Deputy Minister of Finance, Ms. Milena Marković, Budget Analyst in the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Sabahudin Delić, Deputy Minister for Human and Minority Rights, Ms. Irena Bošković, Coordinator of the Gender Equality  Department of the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights, Mr. Dragan Đukanović, Advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Nebojša Todorović, Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Šućko Baković, Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms and Ms. Zdenka Perović, Secretary of the Ombudsman Institution.
