Gender Equality Committee holds its 53rd meeting

Consultative hearing with regard to indicators for monitoring the application of the CoE Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence

During the 53rd meeting of the Gender Equality Committee, a consultative hearing of Ms Tanja Ignjatović, coordinator of the Autonomous Women’s Centre Belgrade was held. The hearing related to indicators for monitoring the application of the CoE Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, drafted within the regional project ““With joint efforts – Towards new European standards for combating gender based violence” implemented in the period 2012 - 2014.

The following took part in the discussion: Ms Vesna Ratković, a member of the Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO), Ms Sonja Bošković, Deputy Supreme Public Prosecutor, Mr Siniša Bjeković, Deputy Protector of Human Rights and FreeWomen’s Safe Housedoms, Mr Dragan Pejanović, Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Ms Sonja Šundić, Advisor to the President of Montenegro, Ms Nada Drobnjak, Chairperson of the CoBiljana Pejović,mmittee, Ms Maja Raičević, NGO of the Women’s Rights Center, Ms Biljana Pejović, Head of the Department for Gender Equality at Ministry for Human and Minority Rights, Ms Jovana Hajduković, NGO Women’s Safe House, Ms Sanja Elezović, independent expert, Ms Branka Vlahović, NGO “Spes” and Ms Tanja Ignjatović, coordinator of the Autonomous Women’s Centre Belgrade.
