Fifth session of “Women’s Parliament”

Gender Equality Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro will hold the Fifth session of the “Women’s Parliament”,on Tuesday 8 March 2016, starting at 11:00.

On the occasion, representatives of the Government of Montenegro will answer the questions of representatives of women’s associations of parliamentary parties and representatives of civil society.

The “Women’s Parliament” is organised on the occasion of International Women's Day, with the aim of promoting women’s human rights in Montenegro and the need for greater participation of women in political and public life, in order to get – through dialogue among the Parliament, the Government and civil society - an overview of the state in the field of gender equality and identify areas where additional efforts are necessary for the purpose of achieving better results.

The session will be preceded by the exhibition of handicrafts by the NGO “Association of Women Ostros” and NGO “Bona Fide” Pljevlja,whose opening is scheduled for 10:45 in the Hall of the Parliament of Montenegro.

Media representatives are to enter the Parliament of Montenegro by using the annual credentials card together with a personal identification document.
