The Chairperson of the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning Mr Predrag Sekulić will attend the Meeting of the Chairpersons of the Committees on Environment Protection and the Committees on State Administration and Local Authorities of the European Union and the European Parliament member states, which is being held on 24 and 25 November 2013 in Vilnius.

The key topic of the meeting will be the protection of the environment in macro-economic strategies. The following will also be considered: permanent economic development, and its implications on the environment as well as the possibilities to take into account the environment protection during creation and implementation of transport policies, energy production, and agriculture.

The meeting will be held within the parliamentary dimension of the Lithuanian presidency over the European Union.
