35th meeting of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare held

Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare of the Parliament of Montenegro held a themed meeting with the agenda – Effects of Curbing the Shadow Economy in the Labour Market

On the basis of the initiative of the President of the Union of Employers of Montenegro Mr Predrag Mitrović, the Committee dedicated today’s themed meeting to curbing the shadow economy in the labour market.

Upon the invitation of the Committee, the following attended the meeting and took part in the discussion: Mr Predrag Mitrović, President of the Union of Employers of Montenegro; Ms Suzana Radulović, Secretary General of the Union of Employers of Montenegro; Ms Arijana Nikolić Vučinić, Director of the Directorate for Labour Market and Employment at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare; Mr Novo Radović, Assistant Director of Tax Administration; Mr Božidar Vuksanović, Director of Administration for Inspection Affairs; Angelina Međedović, Head Labour Inspector at Administration for Inspection Affairs; Mr Goran Bubanja, Assistant Director of Employment Office of Montenegro; Mr Srđan Keković, Secretary General of the Union of Free Trade Unions; and Mr Marko Nikčević, Secretary General of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Montenegro. 

After the discussion, the following conclusions were adopted:

1. to organise a consultative hearing after the end of 2014 tourist season, titled: “Effects of Curbing the Shadow Economy in the Labour Market”;

2. to address a request to the Tax Administration for the purpose of submitting a more complete information on the effects of charging taxes in 2013, as well as comparative indicators in relation to 2012; and

3. To request from the Administration for Inspection Affairs the information on effects and performance results in 2013 and 2014 (January and February).
