Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare scheduled a meeting for considering the situation of workers of the Aluminium Plant. Bearing in mind the lack of quorum for Committee meeting, the small meeting was held, attended by the following: Chairperson of the Committee Mr Zoran Jelić, members of the Committee: Emilo Labudović, Janko Vučinić, Goran Tuponja, representatives of the Ministry of Economy Mr Veselin Perišić, bankruptcy administrator in the Aluminium Plant as well as representatives of the Aluminium Plant Mr Dušan Laketić and Mr Zlatko Dujović.  

During the meeting, the Social Programme offered by the Government for KAP workers was discussed, as well as possibility that amendments to the Pension and Disability Insurance Law, apart from workers of Željezara include workers of KAP, meaning that workers of KAP with 30 years of service may acquire the right for early retirement.

Following the brief discussion, the participants of the small meeting agreed at the beginning of the following week to hold another meeting, and re-invite Minister of Economy Mr Vladimir Kavarić and Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Mr Predrag Bošković, since they did not attend today’s meeting.
