Chairperson of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare Mr Zoran Jelić met President of the Council for Civilian Control of Police Operations Mr Aleksandar Saša Zeković. During the talk, Mr Zeković suggested addressing issues of employment of certain categories of persons in police, systematised in three segments:

-     employment of persons with disability in police;

-    employment of members of minorities and other minority national  communities in police and

-     employment of LGBT members in police;

Chairperson of the Committee Mr Zoran Jelić assessed that all three issues were essential and of great importance and that those represented the step forward in development of democracy. On the occasion, he stated that the Committee would support those ideas and instructed President of the Council for Civilian Control of Police Operations Mr Aleksandar Saša Zeković to concretise them prior to submitting the request to the Committee, after which the Committee would be able to undertake concrete measures in terms of organising the meeting on this topic.
