The Committee on Health, Labor and Social Welfare of the Parliament of Montenegro, on the Seventh Meeting, considered the Proposal for the Law on Social and Child Welfare.
The Committee was also acquainted with the opinion of the Gender Equality Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro on the occasion of consideration of the Proposal for this Law.
The Committee supported, by majority of votes cast, the Proposal for the Law on Social and Child Welfare and proposed it to the Parliament for adoption.
MP Zorica Kovačević, member of the Committee, was appointed for the Committee rapporteur.
The Committee on Health, Labor and Social Welfare did not elect Deputy Chairperson, as the opposition had not agreed on a candidate, so that issue will be discussed at the next meeting of the Committee.
The Committee became familiar with Performance Report of the Committee in 2012, as well as the Information on Meeting of the Committee Chairperson Mr Zoran Jelić and Service of the Committee with the Head of the UNICEF Office in Montenegro Mr Benjamin Perks.
The Committee on Health, Labor and Social Welfare of the Parliament of Montenegro established unanimously the Work Plan of the Committee for 2013.
At the Proposal of the Committee Chairperson Mr Zoran Jelić, Proposal for the law on supplements to the Pension and Disability Insurance Law will be discussed at the next meeting of the Committee, when the Government of Montenegro is to submit opinion on that Proposal for the law.
The Meeting was attended by the two representatives of the Union of Employers of Montenegro - Ms Suzana Radulović, Secretary General of the UPCG and Ms Rumica Kostić, legal councilor; representative of the Federation of Associations of Paraplegics of Montenegro Ms Aleksandra Popović; representative of Federation of Associations of Parents of Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities "Our Initiative" Mr Milisav Korać, Association of War Disabled Civilians – Mr Fadil Mučić, Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro Ms marina Vujačić, Executive Director; representative of the Parents Association Ms Milica Kadović; representative of the Institute Alternative Ms Dragana Radović; representative of the Union of Municipalities Ms Snežana Mijušković and Ms Ljubinka Radulović; representative of the Union of Blind of Montenegro Mr Goran Macanović, Executive Director.
