8^th Bled Strategic Forum opened, attended by almost 500 representatives from around the globe, from the fields of politics, science and various international organisations.

At this year’s Strategic Forum, the Parliament of Montenegro is represented by the Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants Mr Miodrag Vuković, docent PhD, and the Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration Mr Slaven Radunović.

The three-day gathering opened with the Youth Forum where they spoke on the position of the young generation in the European Union, and the opportunities provided by the digital revolution and the new rules of doing business.

On the second day of Forum, the participants will be addressed by the Slovenian Prime Minister Ms Alenka Bratušek, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Karl Erjavec, followed by the scheduled panel debates on political changes in Europe and the world, as well as the challenges that the European Union faces in light of the economic crisis.

On the last day of the Bled Strategic Forum, a panel debate will be held on the relationship of the European Union and Turkey, as well as a panel debate on the issue of the European Union enlargement after the accession of the Republic of Croatia, and the debate on this topic will gather the ministers of foreign affairs of the countries in the region. Ms Vesna Pusić, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, will speak on Croatian experiences during negotiations with the European Union.
