Regional Parliamentary Conference titled "The role of parliaments in the oversight of energy policies and investments in the energy sector in the Western Balkans countries" will be held on 6 and 7 September 2014 at 10am in Budva. The first working day of the conference will be held in hotel Montenegro and the second day in hotel Splendid.
The conference, which will be opened by the Vice-President of the Parliament of Montenegro Suljo Mustafić, will be held in the framework of the activities of the Network of Parliamentary Committees for Economy, Finance and European Integration of the Western Balkans, with the support of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy. The Network is currently presided by Aleksandar Damjanović MP in the Parliament of Montenegro.
Participation in the work of the conference will be taken by MPs and representatives of eight parliaments from eight countries of the Western Balkans, experts in the field of energy, energy policies and investment in the energy sector, representatives of regulatory bodies, ministries of energy and economy, as well as companies engaged in relating areas.
In addition to the Chair of the Network of Parliamentary Committees for Economy, Finance and European Integration of the Western Balkans countries and the Chairperson of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget of the Parliament of Montenegro Aleksandar Damjanović, the following members of the Committee, as well as representatives of the Parliament, will participate in the conference: Filip Vuković, Almer Kalač and Mladen Bojanić.
