At two separate meetings, MPs informed GRETA experts on the manner of addressing the issue of trafficking in human beings, primarily through legislative activity. They emphasised the importance of ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings, but also the importance of amending the Criminal Code on the basis of previous recommendations of GRETA, while the special accent was placed on the activities of working bodies aimed at strengthening the position of women and children.
GRETA experts voiced pleasure over the quality of the legislative activities, informing the interlocutors on the next evaluation phase regarding the sending of the first version of the Report for reading and providing comments.
