At today’s preliminary meeting, MPs of Montenegro – members of the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC), spoke on the proposal for the agenda of the Seventh meeting, which would be held in the European Parliament (Strasbourg), on 11 and 12 December 2013.
At the Seventh SAPC Meeting,MPs of Montenegro and MEPs will also discuss the following: monitoring of recommendations adopted at the Sixth SAPC Meeting in Podgorica; implementation of legislation in fight against organised crime and case law in this field; instruments for fighting against corruption, including policies and practice related to the public procurement, protection of investigative journalists and whistle-blowers and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
During the preliminary meeting, rapporteurs for certain topics were chosen, from among parliamentary majority and opposition, namely: Mr Koča Pavlović and Mr Milutin Simović for the item of the agenda - monitoring of recommendations adopted at the Sixth SAPC Meeting in Podgorica, Mr Darko Pajović and Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić, for the item - implementation of legislation in fight against organised crime and case law in this field, Mr Predrag Bulatović and Mr Miodrag Vuković for the item- instruments for fighting against corruption and Mr Dritan Abazović and Mr Suljo Mustafić for the item - protection of human rights and freedoms.
Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro that is to participate in the Seventh SAPC Meeting is composed of the following: Chair Ranko Krivokapić, Deputy Chair Slaven Radunović and members of the Committee: Mr Suljo Mustafić, Mr Milutin Simović, MA, Mr Miodrag Vuković, Docent, PhD, Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić, Mr Mevludin Nuhodžić, Ms Nada Drobnjak, Mr Damir Šehović, MA, Mr Koča Pavlović, Mr Predrag Bulatović, Mr Darko Pajović and Mr Dritan Abazović, MA.
European Union - Montenegro Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) was established in June 2010, after the Stabilisation and Association Agreement came into force. It is composed of 14 members from both the Parliament of Montenegro and European Parliament.
