At the eight meeting of SAPC, the members of the Parliament of Montenegro and the European Parliament will discuss the following: current state of accession negotiations and relations between the European Union and Montenegro; following of recommendations adopted at the previous meeting held in Strasbourg; violence against journalists; combating corruption and organised crime, as well as public finances and economic reforms.
At the preliminary meeting, the rapporteurs for certain items of the agenda have been appointed, among the members of the ruling coalition and the opposition parties.
SAPC was formed in June 2010, after the Stabilisation and Association Agreement entered into force. This Committee consists of fourteen members of the Parliament of Montenegro and fourteen members of the European Parliament.
