Tenth meeting of the Parliamentary Committee will be opened by President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić and Chair of the Delegation of the European Parliament Ms Anneliese Dodds.
In the introductory part, the present will be addressed by Vice President of the Government of Montenegro Mr Duško Marković, Ambassador of Latvia to Montenegro H.E. Mr Imants Liegis and Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro Mr Mitja Drobnič.
This year’s SAPC will cover topics such as: the current state of accession negotiations and relations between the European Union and Montenegro, reforms and activities relevant for the progress of negotiations with regard to chapters 23 and 24, position of disabled persons in Montenegro and the European Disability Strategy, social policy, employment and economic developments. As it has been the practice so far, the Agenda of the SAPC includes a Proposal for declaration and recommendations, whose consideration is envisaged for the second day of the meeting.
MPs Mr Slaven Radunović and Mr Milutin Simović will report on the current state of accession negotiations and relations between the European Union and Montenegro, while MPs Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić and Mr Koča Pavlović will report on reforms and activities relevant for the progress of negotiations with regard to chapters 23 and 24. Ms Nada Drobnjak is a rapporteur for the issue of position of disabled persons in Montenegro, while Mr Danko Šarančić and Mevludin Nuhodžić are rapporteurs for social policy, employment and economic developments.

The SAPC was established in June 2010, after the Stabilisation and Association Agreement came into force. It is composed of 14 members from both the Parliament of Montenegro and European Parliament.
