Suljo Mustafić, Vice-President of the Parliament of Montenegro and Chairperson of the Working Group for drafting a Code of Ethics for MPs, Branka Tanasijević and Snežana Jonica members of the Working Group, met today with GRECO experts (Group of States against Corruption): Aneta Arnaudovska, judge, director of the Academy for Judges and public prosecutors (Macedonia), Jens-Oscar Nergård, Senior Advisor, Ministry of Local Government and Modernization (Norway), and Yüksel Yilmaz, chief Inspector, Deputy Head of the Prime Ministry Inspection Board (Turkey).
The meeting was held with the aim of presenting GRECO members and the work of the Working Group, which is in charge of drafting a Code of Ethics for MPs.
The Chairperson announced that the Parliament of Montenegro, with the adoption of the Action Plan to strengthen the legislative and oversight role of the Parliament of Montenegro, envisaged adoption of a Code of Ethics for MPs.
Chairperson also informed the evaluation team about certain dilemmas that emerged during the work of the Working Group and on this occasion it was agreed to submit to GRECO the working version of the Code of Ethics for MPs, so that they could submit their possible comments to it.
