Participants of the Conference are representatives of the parliaments and other political and scientific institutions from Montenegro, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Germany, Slovenia, Great Britain as well as Serbia and Hellenic Republic – countries organising of the conference.
Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Damir Davidović will have a presentation on parliamentary control in the Parliament of Montenegro, within the session titled “Parliaments in a changing Europe”. The Conference is composed of six sessions, with topics relating the role of parliaments in the EU integration, relations between the parliaments and civil society, parliaments in a changing Europe, approaching of citizens to governance and contemporary models of citizens’ engagement. The main aim of the Conference is to establish ways to improve parliamentary representation by strengthening connections with citizens through increased responsibility. The Conference provides an opportunity for acquainting the current parliamentary tendencies as well as Twining project, being jointly implemented by the Hellenic Parliament and National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, in the period January 2013 – June 2014.
