The meeting between the experts from Hellenic Parliament and Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro was focused on issues of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the services of the two parliaments, as well as identifying real needs of the Parliament which would serve as the basis for development and implementation of future projects. In order for experts to gain a better insight into the current state and priorities of the Parliament, which would be needed for framework definition of arrangements for planning and preparation of project documentation and proposals, as well as coordination of projects implementation from the EU funds, a number of meetings was organized with representatives of organizational units of the Service who, among other things, informed guests on innovations in the Parliament of Montenegro aimed at further strengthening of its legislative and control role, development of research sector, enhancement of administrative capacities and professional training of employees.
Also, guests from Greece made presentation for employees of Montenegrin Parliament on organization and the role of the European Programs Implementation Service, as specific unit in the structure of Hellenic Parliament responsible for project coordination and implementation financed from the EU funds and programs and they also shared their experiences in the field of implementation of complex EU procedures and the project managing.
Delegation was composed of the European Programs Implementation Servicerepresentatives, coordinator Mr Vasilios Svolopoulos and advisors Mr Dimitris Koryzis and Mr Ilias Iliadis.
