Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Siniša Stanković held a meeting with Director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Serbia and Montenegro Norbert Beckmann-Dierkes. The Secretary General of the Parliament informed his interlocutor on the manner of operations and organisation of the Parliament, as well as on competencies of the working bodies. In that respect, Mr Stanković highlighted activities performed with a view to continuous strengthening of legislative and oversight role of the Parliament, and the role of the Parliament of Montenegro in monitoring the course of EU accession negotiations was also discussed.

As of 2013, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation has been providing support to the Parliament of Montenegro in various activities, which has been implemented through organising study visits, round tables, seminars, as well as through advising and visiting by foreign experts. The Secretary General expressed gratitude for previous support from which both MPs and the Parliamentary Service employees had benefited.   

The interlocutors expressed readiness for continuation of cooperation and considered opportunities for further joint action of the Parliament of Montenegro and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. In that respect they also discussed the opportunities for implementing activities in the context of regional cooperation, as well as in the segment of parliamentary research and education of, primarily, the children and the youth.
