She finished primary school and graduated from grammar school of social and linguistic orientation in Bar.She enrolled the Faculty of Law in Podgorica in 1996, and graduated in June 2000, with a grade point average of 10 (A).  In the same year she enrolled

the post-graduate studies (Civil Law major) at the Faculty of Law of the University in Belgrade. She passed her oral master’s exam in 2002, with honours. She obtained her MA degree in 2005, on “Legal Nature of Privileged Claims”.   She successfully defended her PhD thesis on 1 July 2011 at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro, on the topic “Amicable Settlement with the Mortgage Creditor”. In September 2013, she was elected to the position of senior lecturer on subjects Civil and Legal Clinic at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro, and the subject Copyright Law and Intellectual Property Law in Cetinje, at the University of Montenegro, where she continues to lecture even today.

During her regular studies, she was awarded with four Plaquettes of the Faculty of Law as the best student, then the award “19 Decembar” on the occasion of Day of Liberation of the city of Podgorica and the Plaquette of the University of Montenegro as the best student of the University in the field of social sciences. She entered into employment at the Faculty of Law in Podgorica on 1 March 2001, as a teaching assistant for subjects the Introduction to Civil Law and the Property Law.  She also used to work as an assistant at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts – Department of Production, on the subject – Copyright Law and Industrial Property Law.

She published a number of professional papers from the field of lien with special reference to securing of claims.  She deals with legal issues of concluding contracts harmful for public order and state interests. She participated in the counselling of lawyers in Budva and Kopaonik.  She speaks French and English, and has a basic knowledge of Italian and Spanish.

She is a member of Presidency and Main Board of the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro, and a member of Women’s Forum of the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro.

She is a member of the 25th Convocation of the Parliament of Montenegro. She is a member of Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), where she was appointed as a member of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights, a member of the Sub-Committee on Human Rights, a member of the Sub-Committee on Crime Problems and the Fight against Terrorism, substitute member of the Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media, and a member of the Sub-Committee on Education, Youth and Sport.

She is the Chairperson of the Legislative Committee, a member of the Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration, as well as a member of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports. She also used to be a member of the Gender Equality Committee.
