Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Suljo Mustafić will open XV Cetinje Parliamentary Forum, in hotel Maestral, Miločer, today.
XV Cetinje Parliamentary Forum, being held in the period 1-3 December, will gather more than 50 parliamentarians from the region, on the topic “Strengthening the Oversight Role of Parliament in the Defence and Security Sector “.
XV Cetinje Parliamentary Forum is organised by the Parliament of Montenegro in cooperation with the Centre for Security, Development and the Rule of Law (DCAF).
Cetinje Parliamentary Forum is the autochthonous regional initiative of parliamentary cooperation of the Southeast Europe countries on their way towards the EU, and it is important form of encouraging and promoting the parliamentary dialogue among regional countries, aimed at improvement of cooperation, transmission of knowledge and experiences for the purpose of achieving continuity in terms of deepening the parliamentary cooperation and diplomacy in the region, improving bilateral and multilateral ties as well as bringing together representatives of legislative institutions in countries sharing common historical and cultural heritage and the European perspective as well.
