Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Suljo Mustafić received the newly-appointed and plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania H. E. Mr Ferdinand Nagyand , today.
During the conversation, good political relations between Montenegro and Romania were emphasised, as well as confidence that the two countries would cooperate even more intensive in the fields of politics, economy and other.
Vice President Mustafić pointed out to importance of support which Romania has been providing to Montenegro in its EU and NATO integrations, hence Montenegro can use Romanian experience from the negotiation process on that path.
Ambassador Ferdinand Nagy expressed his opinion that NATO considerd its following NATO summit as very important for Montenegro, adding that Romania would provide full support to Montenegro in fulfilling the objectives for the full-fledged membership to the EU and NATO.
The importance of parliament as legislative institution in strengthening the rule of law was stressed. The significance of regional initiatives was also discussed, particularly SEECP, which should gain parliamentary dimension soon.
