Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Branko Radulović received H.E. Mr Zhi Zhaolin, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Montenegro, for a farewell visit.

At the meeting, they expressed satisfaction with good cooperation between China and Montenegro in all fields – science, research and education. They also shared opinions on modality and the manner of building the road infrastructure. The interlocutors pointed out that optimal solution would be to build the highway Bar-Boljari-Beograd with much greater dynamics than envisaged, by connecting with the TMT network, thus increasing the profitability of this investment. Participation of Montenegro in building of the highway would be significant.

Additionally, they expressed the position at the meeting that it was necessary to consider the modalities of cooperation, precisely – in what manner would the Chinese companies participate in the building of the road infrastructure: as a loan under favourable conditions, through concessions or joint-stock company.

It was mutually estimated that it would be good to consider the reconstruction of the railway infrastructure on the route Bar-Belgrade due to the fact that China was one of the leading countries in development of fast road infrastructures. The Chinese companies have already confirmed this status in the world by projecting and building fast railways. Additionally, they expressed their satisfaction over cooperation in renewing the Montenegrin fleet.

Let us recall that by carrying out these contracts with its Chinese partners, Montenegro will have four ships in total.

At today’s meeting, they also analysed the possibility of valorisation of energy potential in all forms (pure CO2 technology, renewable sources, and alternative sources) with China being the leading country in the world.

At the end of the visit, Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Branko Radulović agreed continuation of parliamentary cooperation with the People’s Republic of China, which would always be supported by the Parliament of Montenegro.
