With Mr Obama, who is visiting Montenegro as a guest of the "Balkan Peace Club", being its Honorary President, was the President of this international organization based in Podgorica, Mr Osmo Vatres. The host of the meeting in Bar was the Vice-President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Suljo Mustafić, and the member of the "Balkan Peace Club" management. Mr Mustafić said that the City of Bar was an example of inter-ethnic co-existence of people and a model in which Montenegro during hard times managed to preserve its stability.

- Persons belonging to minorities have made a great contribution to the preservation of the interethnic harmony and restoration of the state, and thereby confirmed their deep grounding in the social being of the country. We support all the advanced processes and we want to strengthen relations with our partners on their path towards European and Atlantic integration. The United States of America, where a large number of our countrymen have been living, with your brother as the President, is our reliable partner in these integrations, Mr Mustafić said.

Mr Obama informed the hosts with the fact that the Foundation, which he founded, cherished the memory of the work of Mr Barack Obama the Senior (1936-1982), the first African student who had completed his studies at Harvard, and one of the drivers of economic development of Kenya and its government officials.

- The President of the United States of America, Mr Barack Obama and me are his sons from two marriages. The main goal of our Foundation is to ensure peace and good living conditions for all people, wherever they are. Last year I visited Macedonia and Serbia, toady I am in Montenegro where we signed the "Declaration on World Peace", on 9 May, the Day of Victory over Fascism, to which I am very proud, said Mr Obama.

Obama visited the Islamic Center in Old Bar, where he said his regular prayers. In his talks with the hosts he expressed his enthusiasm with multi-ethnic and cultural heritage of Bar and announced a personal support of the Foundation to humanitarian and social projects that the "Balkan Peace Club" would implement in Bar.
