Vice President of the Parliament Suljo Mustafić received a delegation of emigrants living in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Suljo Mustafić received today delegation of emigrants from Montenegro that live in Bosnia and Herzegovina Šemsudin Hadrović PhD and Erol Ramusović, representatives of the Association of Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina originating from Sandžak.

On this occasion, opinions have been exchanged and it was pointed to the need of greater cooperation between state institutions of Montenegro and institutions of our emigrants.

Vice President Mustafić informed the guests about the activities of the newly formed parliamentary committee dealing with the issue of emigrants, as well as the procedure for adoption of a special Law on Emigrants.

It was jointly stated that Montenegro has numerous emigrant population and it was very important to create legal and institutional form of cooperation with diaspora. Also, it was pointed out that the issue of emigrants was not seriously addressed by the state and that there was potential that can enhance any type of cooperation with emigrants.  

- New institutions that will deal with the issue of emigrants should take into account the specificities of emigrants, their different cultural, linguistic and religious characteristics, so that all our emigrants could feel that the state takes care of everyone equally, said Mustafić.

Also, during today's meeting, it was emphasized that the issue relating to students - solving problems regarding their status during studying in Sarajevo and other cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, through signing the appropriate agreements between relevant institutions of the two states.
