During the conversation between Vice President Radulović and Ambassador Galip they considered the current political, social and economic developments in Montenegro and Turkey. Furthermore, they also discussed the need for a greater degree of economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as an increase in investments in various social sectors.
Ambassador Galip expressed concern regarding the emerging Syrian crisis and refugee migration to Turkey and to the Western Europe through the Balkan countries. He emphasised that the security stability of the Balkans was very important, both for the Balkans itself and the stability of the EU, but for the Turkey as well.
Vice President Radulović supported the investment cooperation, but he also indicated the example of the failed privatisation of Steelworks Nikšić by the Turkish company “Toščelik” which he pointed out previously, in more than one occasion. Furthermore, Vice President Radulović expressed special gratitude for numerous donations to the Montenegrin health system.
Vice President Radulović informed Ambassador Galip on protests of Democratic Front scheduled for 27 September 2015. The Vice President pointed out that the protests were being organised for the purpose of forming an interim government and calling for the first free elections. On that occasion he emphasised that the protests would be organised in the civil and multi-ethnic spirit and in the interest of all disempowered and degraded citizens of Montenegro.
