It was noted at the meeting that the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, with its project activities, contributed to development of democracy and social and political ambiance of Montenegro.
Vice President Mustafić referred to the current political developments in Montenegro and said that the priority of the state policy of Montenegro in the upcoming months was to receive the invitation to join the NATO Alliance.
He emphasised that by joining the NATO Alliance, Montenegro would get the opportunity to build a more secure legal order, to promote human and minority rights, and especially to build a more stable ambiance needed for strengthening of the economy.
- All open issues and problems need to be resolved within the institutions of the system, especially in the Parliament, where it is necessary to have a dialogue among different political subjects, said Vice President Mustafić.
Director Dierkes pointed out that the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) via its office in Podgorica had been successfully implementing project activities in Montenegro, for 15 years.
The most important areas of operations in the previous period are: promotion of parliamentary democracy and strengthening of institutions, support to the process of European integration, support to reforms in the field of the rule of law, as well as providing scholarships for gifted students.
