President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić spoke today with Ms Alexandra Cas-Granje, Director for Montenegro, Macedonia, Turkey and Iceland to the Directorate General for Enlargement of European Commission.

Mr Krivokapić and Ms Cas-Granje spoke on the current political and economic situation in Montenegro, progress in the field of the rule of law, as well as the process of European integration.

Mr Krivokapić informed Ms Cas-Granje on the conclusions of the Parliament regarding establishing of the Working Group for Building Trust in the Election Process, opening of the parliamentary inquiry regarding the affair „Recording“, and the work on adopting the constitutional amendments.

He pointed out that actual progress was reported in each of these important topics and he emphasised that the Proposal for Amendments to the Constitution gained support of the Constitutional Committee, and that the Parliament would finally vote on amendments to the Constitution on 31 July.
