The President of the Parliament of Montenegro and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Mr Ranko Krivokapić had his first working visit to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Secretariat in Copenhagen. In his conversation with the PA Secretary General Mr Spencer Oliver and the Secretariat staff, the President presented his work plan and priorities for the following period, with special focus on the upcoming PA Autumn Session in Budva and election observation in Georgia.
President Krivokapić emphasised that the entire OSCE was facing numerous challenges in the following period, and that in view of 40 years since the signing of the Helsinki Act, the PA itself had to be prepared, via promotion of their own activities, to contribute to achieving key values of OSCE.
They also spoke of the future activities and the upcoming visits of the President Krivokapić to Poland and Finland, as well as preparations for his participation in the OSCE Ministerial Council in October in Vienna.
President Krivokapić also met with the Director of Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights – ODIHR, Mr Janez Lenarčić, and they talked on promotion of cooperation of the Parliamentary Assembly and ODIHR in the field of election observation.
