''We, MPs, have a duty of being missionary of values, our task is to help overcoming prejudices, division between civilisations, East and West, Islam and Christianity. As we have confirmed at the Annual meeting in Istanbul, the Parliamentary Assembly is encouraging initiative for strengthening dialogues among MPs from our countries”, Mr Krivokapić stated.
Mr Krivokapić emphasised that Mediterranean, as a place connecting the two words, was the best space to identify mutual understanding
''Even today, the whole world is looking at the Mediterranean, Egypt, Libya and Syria. It seems that the history of this area is constantly turbulent. Those, who used to shook their heads doubtfully, expressing disbelief regarding the revolutionary potential of Arabic nations, were wrong for their own prejudices and ignorance
These processes are not the chance only for Arabic Mediterranean. Expanding and strengthening of democracy in the Mediterranean is a historic opportunity and one of the biggest challenges of the OSCE.'' Mr Krivokapić said.
President of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Mr Jean-Claude Mignon extended a following message to Montenegro: “Everything that you have done and everything that you have achieved makes you a respectable country. We have seen the progress in your country”.
The autumn meeting of the biggest parliamentary assembly in the world is gathering parliamentarians of 57 OSCE member states.
Autumn Parliamentary Meeting will last until October 15, and it is devoted to topics such as – OSCE role in promotion and respecting human rights, terrorism and transnational threads and safety effects of the economic crisis, integration of different societies.
