During their conversation, President Krivokapić and H.E. Mr Bushati noted the friendly relation of the two countries. Montenegro and the Republic of Albania have a quality cooperation at the bilateral level, as well as through numerous kinds of regional initiatives.

President Krivokapić expressed his desire and willingness for a more intensive parliamentary cooperation of the Parliament of Montenegro and Albania. “I would like to thank you and your parliament for the partnership support in our integration to the North-Atlantic Alliance. Additionally, Montenegro is a friend to Albania and it is willing to share experiences and knowledge of the path to the EU integration”, pointed out President Krivokapić.

On this occasion, Minister Ditmir Bushati emphasised that Montenegro is recognised in this part of Europe as the country of stability and peace. “Especially with regard to the pronounced sensibility regarding national communities in Montenegro”, emphasised Mr Bushati.

Furthermore, it was deemed that all future investments in the transport infrastructure and economic valorisation of the natural resources were more than welcome, because that would mean a better quality of life for the citizens of the two countries.

“Our joint border crossing in Sukobin, the first of its kind in the region, is the best example of partnership cooperation and understanding of the two countries and peoples”, concluded President Krivokapić.
