President of the Parliament of Montenegro and OSCE PA received today H.E. Mr Rosen Plevneliev, President of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Montenegro and the Republic of Bulgaria traditionally have good relations and are partners in achieving common goals of full integration of the region they belong to, President Ranko Krivokapić and President Rosen Plevneliev said at today’s meeting.

“The Republic of Bulgaria is close to Montenegro in many aspects, especially in terms of mutual understanding and secure future of our country in Euro Atlantic structures, of which Bulgaria has already been a full-fledged member”, Mr Krivokapić said.

During the meeting, the interlocutors assessed that the region Montenegro and Bulgaria belonged to should lead a synchronised politics in the field of infrastructure communication, economics and economy development.

“Our economy and economics are highly bounded, hence each separate success and progress means the advance for the whole region”, Mr Plevneliev assessed.

The Republic of Bulgaria remains dedicated to providing support to Montenegro in the process of its integration to NATO and European Union. Membership to these organisations is a guarantee of peace, stability and rule of law, and consequently - stronger and more prosperous region.

Relations of the two parliaments are also positive and have been intensified through various manners of parliamentary cooperation, which has been an example of successful coordination of joint interests, Mr Krivokapić and Mr Plevneliev emphasised.
