President of the Parliament of Montenegro and OSCE PA Mr Ranko Krivokapić received Mr Jan Eliasson, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, today.

During the meeting, they assessed that Montenegro was strongly participating in stability and promotion of values of peace, dialogue and regional cooperation, the pillars of the United Nations organisation.

Mr Krivokapić thanked Mr Eliasson, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, on recognising efforts and contributions made by Montenegro through its participation in peace missions and dialogue policy.

Mr Eliasson pointed out that Montenegro was a great success story in this part of Europe. He also stated that the role of the President of OSCE PA was important for contribution to finding lasting solutions aimed at security and peace of the citizens.

The interlocutors concluded that peace and stability were top priorities to which the UN member states must be continuously dedicated. Each individual contribution meant the security of the entire community.
