In Copenhagen, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Mr Ranko Krivokapić chaired the meeting of the Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly, awaiting the Annual Session of OSCE PA.
President Krivokapić informed the members of the Bureau on the key activities undertaken since the last meeting of this body.
He especially pointed out the activities relating to the efforts of OSCE PA to assist, within its overall international efforts, with establishing a dialogue in order to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
President Krivokapić informed the members on his recent visits to Moscow and Kiev, and conversations he had with high officials of the two countries, during which they agreed a meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations to OSCE PA, which would be held in Vienna, on 11 April.
During the debate on Ukraine, the members of the Bureau deemed significant the activities undertaken by President Krivokapić and expressed expectations that, following the agreement of the meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations to PA, the PA would continue to provide its concrete contribution to establishing and strengthening of the dialogue between the two parties.
At the Bureau meeting, they considered proposals for the reports and resolutions which would be finally considered and adopted at the Annual Meeting of the OSCE PA.
They also considered the activities relating to election observation missions, in which OSCE PA would participate in the following period.
