The Parliament of Montenegro and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe have intense institutional cooperation, which is particularly evident in the area of labor and advisory role in the area of the rule of law and democracy, Mr Krivokapić pointed out.
Co-rapporteurs Mr Sassi and Mr Leyden noted that Montenegro was making steady progress in the democratization of the system, which should be commended, especially when it comes to reforms in the judicial system. Freedom of media, democratic and fair elections are the core values that needed continuous work by all the member states of the Council of Europe.
Interlocutor were also interested in the result of the last week's meeting of the Russian and Ukrainian parliamentary delegation, which the President Krivokapić brought together.
During the meeting it was concluded that parliamentary dialogue and diplomacy played an important role in supporting the reforms that mean adopting standards and democratization.
