“Esteemed family Đorđević, 

The works and actions of Mirko will remain an eternal memory of him, one of those who, in the hardest moments of downfall of Yugoslavia and nationalist policy, raised their voices and pens against the forces that were destroying all that was humane in our region.

His departure is a loss primarily for you, but also for all his friends and comrades, for the voice of reason, solidarity and justice in the Balkans.

May his fight and public work be an eternal value in all of us, and an example of how to keep personal and collective dignity. Departure of people such as Mirko leaves us with an obligation to dedicate our work to keeping of universal human values and warmth, so that never again can be repeated the thing against which we fought together with Mirko.
