During the meeting it was assessed that the Parliament of Montenegro had good relations with the Spanish Congress, as well as intensive cooperation with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

President of the Parliament, Mr Ranko Krivokapić, expressed gratitude to Mr Jordi Xucla on his initiative in the Parliament of the Kingdom of Spain, on 28 April 2014, which resulted in unanimous adoption of the Resolution calling upon the Government to support Montenegro’s candidature for full-fledged NATO member, at the summit in Wales. Mr Krivokapić pointed out that the Resolution was the result of mutual friendship and cooperation that should continue to deepen.

Chairman Xucla said that results of Montenegro in the Euro-Atlantic path were clearly visible to everyone, and that we continue to be recognized as the leader in the region in terms of reform and integration process. "Spanish Parliament will give strong support to your country on its path to the EU and NATO", Mr Xucla said.
