During the meeting, President Krivokapić and Ambassador Hlavsova pointed out that there was a traditional feeling of friendship and closeness in relations between Montenegro and Czech Republic.

President Ranko Krivokapić pointed out that Czech Republic is recognized as partner state to Montenegro in terms of support for our foreign policy goals. “I particularly refer to the strong support of your state for our path toward NATO and the EU, as well as to the cooperation of our parliaments and exchange of experiences and knowledge in integration processes”, stated President Krivokapić.

Ambassador Ivana Hlavsova emphasized that states of the Western Balkans are on the list of high priorities for Czech Republic in terms of encouragement for the process of Euro-Atlantic integration. “Montenegro demonstrated, through negotiation process for the EU membership that had started two years ago, that it was a leader state in the process in this region”, is the message of Hlavsova.

Ambassador Hlavsova stated that Czech Republic actively advocates further accession process of Montenegro to North Atlantic Alliance.
