President of the Parliament of Montenegro Ranko Krivokapić met today with H.E. Roberta Pinotti, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Italy. Krivokapić and Pinotti stated that relations between Montenegro and Italy have been traditionally friendly. The meeting was mainly focused on the Euro-Atlantic integration and the challenges that the Mediterranean countries face in light of a number of international crises.

In this context, Krivokapić stressed that the Mediterranean is experiencing more than the others the Euro-Atlantic vision, and that the integration process of the Balkan countries is offering a long term stability.

Pinotti stated that Italy strongly encouraged all reforms that Montenegro implemented at the national level, with the goal of joining NATO, and that it is available for any kind of help.
