“Citizens of Rožaje,
Rožaje is small town of a great soul, a place where solidarity, respect of diversity and eternal loyalty to Montenegro have always been preserved.
The hospitality of citizens of Rožaje is widely known, and every accidental or intentional guests would bring with him/herself the warmth of the city protected with beautiful mountain Hajla and river Ibar. The old saying "If Constantinople was burnt, Rožaje would build it" best reflects the diligence and skills of citizens of Rožaje.
Your city knew how to raise its voice and shine the torch of justice and freedom in times when it was the hardest and the most necessary for Montenegro. State and local governments have to work hard to improve the living quality of citizens of Rožaje, and the success of these policies will be measured by the number of young people who stay here, and the number of citizens in the diaspora who will be returning here.
On behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro and my own behalf, I congratulate you the Municipality Day.”
