Since the long gone 1831 and foundation of National Guard – Guardia until today, the strength of the state has been measured by the strength of institution which protects the Constitution and law. Mission of every member of the Ministry of Interior is guarding and protecting of every citizen and thereby guarding the state of Montenegro.

Montenegro’s Ministry of Interior and Police Administration are burdened today more than ever before – to meet new security challenges in new era, but primarily to meet obligations in the field of rule of law.

The state is obliged to provide and ensure conditions for members of MUP in which they will be able by their knowledge and professionalism to respond to challenges and treats in full capacity. There may exist only one type of fear in Montenegro – fear from the law.
