We celebrate the 7^th October in the honour of free and brave people, the day on which in 1042 Doclean army defeated heavily the immeasurably stronger Byzantine army. To protect your country, its territory and constitution is a mission and and life's work, that is why, all of you - all members of the Army of Montenegro are the sons and daughters of eternal love and eternal state of Montenegro.

Today, we are striving to achieve our democratic, political and security priority – to make the state and Army of Montenegro a full-fledged NATO member. You carry heavy burden, but this is a fight for all future generations, the battle for firm and untouchable Montenegro.

You who take care and keep peaceful dream of Montenegro’s citizens, you who carry our golden eagle on your bosom in foreign missions, Ministry of Defence and General Headquarters, you should be proud of this day, proud of the strength of nation which is small population-wise and humanity of its soldiers.   

It is time to remember all those who gave their lives for our sole homeland Montenegro and to thank them profoundly.
