President Krivokapić and Mr Vrbensky ephasised that Montenegro has been actively participating in the UN system, and that it has showed a capacity to seize the opportunities of UN organisations on the reform path.

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić thanked to Mr Rastislav Vrbensky to more than fruitful cooperation. President Krivokapić stressed that during the term of office of Mr Vrbensky, Montenegro has initiated key reform processes with the aim of strengthening its institutions and democracy, and that UN and Vrbensky personally had understanding and gave significant support to those processes, so he sincerely thanked his interlocutor for that.

Mr Rastislav Vrbensky said that he was very happy for the fact that he was in Montenegro in its key Euro-Atlantic moments, from gaining a status of candidate for full-fledged membership until opening negotiations with the EU. “UN system in Montenegro has been intensively present and ready to continue to support the reform process”, Mr Vrbensky noted.
